GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The Pitch & Putt Ladies Golf Club has a playing season from April to the fourth Sunday in October. The starting times for the bi-monthly play days are determined by the hostess for the event. Throughout the season there are board and general meetings. These are noted on the season’s schedule.
2. All club events are conducted according to USGA Rules. Members are expected to observe the Rules of Golf, the etiquette and tradition of the game, and to keep pace. (The expected playing time is 4½ hours or less). We request the following:
a. Forego honors (except during match play events)-play when ready and it is safe to hit.
b. When sharing a cart, drop one player off and proceed to your ball when ready and safe.
c. Record scores at the tee, not adjacent to the green you just finished.
d. Return your club to your golf bag when you arrive at the next tee.
e. Watch all players hit their ball so it can be easily found on the course.
3. In case of inclement weather, play will be cancelled only if the course is closed or closed to carts. Call the hostess for the event for updated information.
4. To be in good standing, a member is requested to play 50% of the scheduled play days. Less than 50% attendance renders one ineligible for the Club Championship.
5. A copy of the club Constitution is included in this booklet. Criteria for membership and applications are available from Eunice Jenifer Robinson.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – GLENN DALE

The Club Champion is the player with the lowest total gross for the best two out of three rounds. Prizes will be awarded to winners ofFlights A and B low and secondlow netfor the two rounds. Participants can only win one prize. To be eligible to compete in the championship, a member must haveparticipated in50% of the playdays before thetournament starts. There are nine play days before the first championship round so a member must play four play dates to be eligible to compete in the championship.

PLAY DAY PROCEDURES
BEFORE PLAY:
1. Although some courses will let us pay individually, the hostess may have to pay as a group at the golf course. Please bring cash – not checks.
2. Sign up by R.S.V.P to the hostess by the confirm date.
3. Pairings will be drawn at the golf course.
4. Write players names and date on a scorecard.
a. Foursome- Each player keeps a scorecard with 2 players (the cart partners) on each card.
b. Threesome- Each player keeps a scorecard with 3 players on each card.
c. Twosome- Each player keeps a scorecard with 2 players on each card
5. Tee off when directed to do so by the starter.
6. Note the time of your start. Play “ready golf” and finish within 4 ½ hours.
7. Do not be offended if a club member asks you to recount your strokes.
8. Players are only eligible to win one prize on play days.
9. Handicaps will be published monthly.
AFTER PLAY:
NOTE: Each member signing an incorrect card is disqualified from the event. In addition, if your card is illegible you will also be disqualified from the event.
1. Complete the scorecards by adding up the gross scores. Add and CIRCLE the total number of putts. Double-check the card for complete and legible data. Foursome and twosomes put the signature of 2 respective players on one card. For threesome, all three players must sign one card.

The Pitch & Putt Golf Club Sportswoman Award
This award is presented in memory of all deceased members of the Pitch & Putt Golf Club. Their wisdom, patience, positive energy, spirit and heart of gold are a testimony to their love of the club and the game of golf. Each year we acknowledge our feelings in the pleasure of playing golf with a member who epitomizes the spirit of the game and exemplifies the ideals of “sportswomanship” on the course and show determination in their efforts to keep the club viable.
