Section V, Special Monthly Compensation Paragraphs, is revised for clarification and to provide current U.S.C. references.
The special monthly compensation paragraph for entitlement to aid and attendance under 38 U.S.C. 1114, subsection (l) is revised to include a narrative explanation as to whether or not entitlement to the aid and attendance may be continued while hospitalized at U.S. government expense under 38 CFR 3.552.
Special monthly compensation paragraph M-4 for SMC Code 20 is revised in accordance with 38 CFR 3.350(f)(1)(v), (vii), and (ix).
The portion concerning entitlement to Special Monthly Compensation under 38 U.S.C. 1114(t) and 38 CFR 3.384(b) is deleted since it was repealed and replaced by entitlement under 38 CFR 3.383.
