I (We) attest the team named, meets the eligibility requirements of the Student 2 Biz Business Plan Competition
¨ All team members are current undergraduate or graduate students from an accredited college located in New York (must have been enrolled during the 2013-2014 academic year).
¨ Cumulative public or private capital raised to date does not exceed $100,000.
¨ 100% student ownership of the venture.
¨ Team members are competing ONLY on this team.
¨ Team has worked with a faculty advisor.
Note: The Student 2 Biz staff reserve the right to make the final determination of the eligibility of submitted business ventures
I (We) represent that any idea, discovery, invention, or concept disclosed in the business plan originated with one or more members of the team or is being used with appropriate permission from its rightful owner.
I (We) hereby authorize Student 2 Biz Business Plan Competition staff to release team contact information (i.e. team supplied phone numbers and/or e-mail address) to interested individuals who inquire about a specific team with the Student 2 Biz staff. Information submitted on the cover page including team names may be utilized in press and documentation of the competition. The presentations will be made to an audience of peers, investors, faculty, staff and friends during the regional and state competitions. Presentations may be recorded for promotion of future competitions.
The Student 2 Biz Business Plan Competition considers all submitted business plans as confidential and treats all team matters accordingly. However, we cannot guarantee complete confidentiality for proprietary matters.
Therefore, we strongly encourage any team with concerns regarding intellectual property, copyright, or patent confidentiality to either contact their University’s intellectual property office (for University-developed discoveries) or competent legal counsel (for non-University related discoveries). The organizers of the competition are not responsible for any proprietary information and/or intellectual property included in a submitted business plan. Ultimately, protection of sensitive materials is the sole responsibility of the individual or team participating in the competition
