The Goal of this company is to provide an investment opportunity for businesses looking to grow. Beyond the investment opportunity, there will be strategy planning and advice provided by key people involved with this Venture Capital opportunity.
The fund is looking to fill a large opportunity in the Austin market which is showing a business start rate of 1,000 a week as stated by the Texas Workforce Development Corporation and Texas itself is showing almost 3,000 new start-ups weekly. With this there are only a few Venture Capital funds in the area to handle this development need but only a few have resources greater than 10 MM and even fewer invest in start-up and seed stage Companies.
This new Venture is looking to fill that void with a $10MM-$40MM minimum capitalization. The fund is starting in 2013 and will focus on finding Start-up to Reg A companies with an initial Investment of 1% of the Fund or between $100,000-$400,000looking for the right investment and strategic partner. All offerings will be done via Private Placement and will be handled on a strategic investment partnership.
Jeff Muchnik, General Partner, will be in charge of managing the funds’ assets and will enlist help from key advisors to work with the investments to ensure a strong foundation and secure the investment return. Through these relationships the Venture Capital Company in Austin will invest in smaller companies and help them build into greatness.
Control will be wrested upon a 50% control by the Principal and 50% by the investors in the fund. All decisions on company investments will be made by the management team lead by Jeffrey Muchnik.
