Projects / American Telemedicine Association – Lead initiative to host a UIC/ATA State conference on telehealth and telemedicine. Conference was considered a success with intention to repeat in other states. Started process to establish State ATA Chapters. Successful establishment of a Research Task Force within the ATA. National Institute of Health - Initiated an effort to create a thematic special interest group focusing on telehealth and am continuing to build that program. Currently the TSIG has been created and the first meeting held. Upcoming meetings to follow at AMIA and mHealth. 1/4th of the NIH CTSA programs have signed up to support. / 2011
US State Department – Afghanistan Telehealth Project with corporate partners for Rabia Balkhi Hospital in Kabul Afghanistan. Focus on maternity and using broad band wireless internet access to deliver women’s healthcare in the home. / 2010

Authored protocols, designed and created an automated data collection process, and performed data analysis for an eight hospital system. Data was used to support Magnet Certification in one hospital and to demonstrate quality system wide.
NDNQI and Advocate Prevalence and Incidence Comparison Study / 2004
Assisted in study and authored the data collection program and process for demonstrating the difference between the NDNQI’s approach to assessing incidence based on reporting compared to a study that performed physical exams to demonstrate a more accurate incidence of pressure wounds.
Advocate Healthcare System Wide Wound Care Council / 2004 – 2006
Participated in the supply chain assessment and implementation of wound care products and policies for an eight hospital integrated healthcare system. Demonstrated savings of over $2 million over the two years.
