Vacancy: Research Project Manager

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a ‘can do’ attitude and adaptability to provide pro-active support within our busy project management team. You will work on the administrative management of our growing portfolio of local and international research and development (R&D) projects. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate initiative, have good organisational and time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oral and written communications with project partners and funding bodies (e.g. Innovate UK, European Commission)
  • Preparation and submission of project progress reports to strict deadlines
  • Budget management and financial reporting of European Commission and Innovate UK funded projects to strict deadlines
  • Project start up contractual management
  • Project dissemination and exploitation planning and execution
  • Provide support to technical team activities in addition to daily co-ordination of high profile collaborative projects and developments

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of working on European Commission and Innovate UK funded projects, preferably 2+ years
  • Ideally understanding of European Commission Project Audit
  • Bachelor Degree or Higher, preferably in project management or business administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software packages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised, using own initiative
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A team player to facilitate project operations effectively

Salary Range:£24,500 - £33,500
