024/1112 Centre for Sport Update
Item moved up the agenda to accommodate a report received from Helen Worboys, Operations Manager. Helen advised the meeting on the following:
· Man and Woman of Steel Competition
· Olympic style events
· 3G/Rubber crumb pitch to be installed on the old tennis courts at Wallscourt Farm for September 2012 is on schedule
· Can Clubs please provide the Sports Co-Ordinator with training requirements for Semester 3 as these will need to be reviewed against budget constraints

027/1112 Semesterisation of Sports Club’s Membership Fees
Sports Co-ordinator presented the information circulated prior to the meeting. This was the paper presented to the Student Union Finance and General Purposes Committee on the 17th January 2012 which was approved for implementation on the 30th January 2012.
028/1112 AGM/Club Development/Finance, Equipment and Safety Meetings
Sports Co-ordinator outlined all the requirements for Club AGMs in February 2012 and the timeline and requirements for the supporting meetings for new committee members.
029/1112 Students Union new build
VP Sports outlined the proposal for a new Student Union building and invited clubs to advise what they would like to see included in this venture. Feedback will be collated by the SU.
030/1112 Sports ball 2012
Date confirmed as Friday 25th May 2012 and venue being secured with Early Bird Tickets likely to be available within next 10 days.
VP Sports outlined a proposal to Committee to seek approval to utilise funds generated from the Sports Passport to support the event if required. Following discussion Committee approval was received to approach the SU Finance and General Purpose Committee to request available funding of up to a maximum of £4,500 from these funds.

Meeting updated on the proposed programme of events
033/1112 Sports Tour
VP Sports advised that in excess of 100 students had signed up and reminded committee that the 27th January id the deadline for payments to secure places.

Chris Holgate – Societies and Communications Officer presented information and invited Sports Clubs to get involved in a forthcoming RAG event where he was organising a unique event ‘Quidditch’
