DIVISION 2 KO CUP FINAL THURSDAY 11TH APRIL 2013 @ RAM MEADOW.

BECK ROW RES. FC 1 - 2 ELEPHANT & CASTLE FC

In a well attended Cup Final the early deadlock was broken in the 20th minute when the Elephant & Castle striker Alex De-Moore netted from close range. With 26 minutes on the clock Beck Row’s were awarded a penalty when Jack Noakes-Whiting was fouled in the penalty area. The resultant penalty kick was converted by Matt Eaglen.

Scores were level at 1 – 1 on the half time whistle.

In the second half the Trunk had the majority of the possession and this resulted in substitute Jack Ellam scoring on the 55 minute mark.

Final score 2 – 1 in favour of the Elephant & Castle FC.

Ram Meadow FC 5 – 4 RF Saints FC

After Extra Time.

In a poorly attended Bill Utting Cup Final Ram Meadow (Division 1) were up against the RF Saints

(Division 2).The Ram Meadow Captain Neil Young opened the scoring on the 21st minute with a headed

goal. Ian Walker volleyed the Saints level on 29 minutes. Further goals Ram’s Hari Pigeeon and Nathan Head plus SaintsLee Sayer and a second goal from Ian Walker made the score 3 – 3 on the ninety minute mark.

Extra time yielded goals from the Saints Craig Jackson but Rams Justin Farrow and Simon Gay both

hit to win the cup for Ram Meadow

Home Guard FC 0 – 1 St Edmunds 1965 FC

In yet another poorly attended Cup Final the top two sides in Division 1, Home Guard FC (1st) and

St Edmunds 1965 FC (2nd) contested the top cup competition in the St Edmundsbury Football League.

There was only one goal in this cuip final and that was scored in the fifth minute by St Edmunds front man Simon Gresham.

Home Guard FC5 – 2St Edmunds 1965 FC

In a repeat of last weeks Mick Mc Neil Cup Final the Home Guard were again up against last weeks victors St Edmunds 1965. The Home Guard completed their Division 1 League and Cup double with a 5 – 2 win. On target for the Guard were Darren Dowds (1) and a brace apiece for Lee Gaught and Justin Nunn. Sam Whiting and Kevin Zdrenka scored for the Saints.
