Standard 1
Learners will:
Know a range of hand tools used ingardening
Learnersshould know/be able to:
a. / Selected hand tools
b. / The use of each tool
Assessment:
This standard is assessed internally by the centre and externally verified by AIM Awards. Please read this guidance in conjunction with Appendix 1 - A Guide to Assessing AIM Awards Qualifications.
The following assessment methods can be used in the assessment of this standard:

For 1.a, learners should name the selected hand tools
For 1.b, learners should state the use of each tool
Standard 2
Learners will:
Be able to maintain a range of garden hand tools
Learnersshould know/be able to:
a. / The condition of the tools suppliedand identify any problems
b. / A given maintenance procedure forthe tools supplied under supervision
c. / Tools back into stores in the correctlocation
Assessment:
