USC Summer Program

Sophomores, juniors and seniors can invest their summers in attending a rigorous college preparation programs at University of Southern California. When they attend summer programs at USC, high school students balance academic and college life as they prepare for college in the nation’s entertainment center – Los, Angeles, California. If your students are seeking an academic challenge and some fun this summer, apply to the pre-college “Summer@USC” program for high school students.

USC Summer Programs offers students a preview of “freshman year” through its college immersion experience. Students explore Los Angeles as a laboratory for cultural learning beyond the traditional classroom. Programs are designed to combine college level course work, academic field trips, and structured extracurricular activities.

USC Summer Programs offers 4 and 2 week courses in a variety of subjects from which students choose one course for intense study. Courses are interactive, engaging and challenging, and students receive 3 units of transferrable USC elective credit upon successful completion of the 4-week program. Students can choose from over 20 courses in the following subject areas:

This fellowship in the amount of $500-$1000 to be awarded to outstanding high school seniors who desire to become geologists, environmental geologists, geological engineers, or earth and space science teachers. 2014 Scholarship Opportunity for Seniors

In Salt Lake and Davis Counties

The BYU Management Society – Salt Lake City Chapter will be awarding several

scholarships in 2014 to candidates who demonstrate financial need, academic

excellence, leadership and positive community or religious service.

Scholarship amounts will range from $500 to $3,000 depending on need and merit.

Selection:

Two types of scholarships will be offered.

  • One scholarship based on financial need, and
  • One scholarship based on community service.

Please select, on the application, the scholarship for which you are applying. You may only select one.

Eligibility:

Applicant must be enrolled as a high school senior in Salt Lake or Davis Counties,

planning to start their first year of college in the fall of 2014, and be a resident of Salt Lake or Davis Counties to apply.

Applicant must show recent community or religious service activity.

Applicant should demonstrate financial need.

Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited college or university, including trade/technical schools, within the state of Utah or an LDS Church college on a full-time basis.

Scholarships may be deferred for religious or military service.
