UPDATE ON THE 2ND GRAND EASTER WALK

In order to meet our target of fund raising to support the ACP, it is imperative that we maximise the fund raising from the Easter Walk and other events. We are asking all church members to either participate in one of the three walks or if not, to sponsor a member who is participating.

Walks

There are three walking routes to choose from designed to suit all abilities and will enable individual walkers to raise funds for the church through sponsorship. Forms are available on line or from any church warden or the church secretary, Di Sylvester 99 103976 or

Walk A: 18 miles (30 km) led by Peter Latham, leaves Latchi at 7 am passing through Neo Chorio over the Akamas and down to the coast at Sea Caves.

Walk B: 7 miles (11km) led by Reverend Andrew Burtt leaves Sea Caves Tavern at 10 am going uphill to the Zoo and back to the Sea Caves Tavern via Maniki Bay.

Walk C: 4.5 miles (7 km) led by Gerald Payne leaves Sea Caves Tavern at 10.30 am and goes along the coast to Corallia Bay past the Oniros café and shipwreck, returning to Sea Caves Tavern for lunch.

- Walkers need to register with the church secretary Di Sylvester 99 103976 or as soon as possible indicating which walk they will be completing.

- All walkers will be supplied with a complimentary bottle of water on reporting at the Registration Desk at Sea Caves Tavern or Latchi.

- On their return all walkers should report to the Registration Desk where Reverend Canon Anthony Stidolph will present a certificate showing the completed walk.

- Envelopes will be handed out for collecting sponsorship monies raised and should be handed over to a church warden when complete.

- Car parking is available. Please do not park on the road.

Snack Lunch

- The snack lunch for walkers will be provided from the list below and covered within the €15 registration fee which will be collected at the Registration Desk on the day at the front of the taverna.

- A voucher for the snack lunch will be given on receipt of registration fee.

- If a snack lunch is required by non-walkers, supporters and/or helpers these should be ordered and paid for at the Registration Desk before 11 am and will be available in the garden from 12.30 onwards.

The choice of Snack lunch is available from:

A: Small Tuna Salad (€5)

B: Mushroom Omelette* (€5)

C: Cheese Burger* (€6)

D: Mixed pitta bread sandwich (bacon, halloumi & lountza)* (€6)

*includes chips and salad.

Beer, wine, soft drinks are not supplied with the snack lunch but can be purchased from the bar in the rear garden. Complementary still water will be available for helpers at the Registration Desk.

Raffle

In order to swell the funds raised from the day, a raffle will be run from in front of the taverna by Joy Shefford (99 496153) and Ann Bailey (99 175785). Anyone prepared to donate a prize, please contact them.
