A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Kyle Allen Hendrick.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Kyle Allen Hendrick, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Kyle Allen Hendrick was born on January 7, 1981, a native of Warren County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on November 16, 2000; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Allen Hendrick was the adored son of Allen and Teresa "Terri" Hendrick; he was the loving grandson of his paternal grandparents, Christine Hendrick and the late Allen Marvin Hendrick; and his maternal grandparents, Sylvia E. Tapke and the late Charles V. Tapke; and he was the loving brother of a sister, Andrea K. Hendrick; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Allen Hendrick was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church; he graduated from Warren East High School in 1999, and at the time of his passing, he was a student at Kentucky Advanced Technology Institute; he was an employee of Grinstead's Furniture; and he was a dedicated volunteer fireman for the Gott Volunteer Fire Department in Gott, Kentucky, a small, close-knit, and quiet community in Warren County; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Allen Hendrick was committed to community service, volunteering without pay at the Gott Volunteer Fire Department, where he served and gave his life in that service during a training accident; and we give special recognition to Kyle Allen Hendrick and other firemen who lost their lives while on duty; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Kyle Allen Hendrick has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the tragic and premature passing of Kyle Allen Hendrick, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Kyle Allen Hendrick.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Representative Roger Thomas for presentation to the family of Kyle Allen Hendrick.
