THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS Christmas means remembering God’s Gift of His Son. We do not celebrate Santa (we do not discourage him to the kids though) but we teach the children about the birth of Jesus. We hope that each child will understand that the most wonderful gift of the season truly is: The Birth of Christ.
To celebrate the Birthday of Jesus will be having Birthday Parties for Jesus in the classes on Friday, December 15th. Sign up lists will be posted in the main hallway for the food and party favors. Each class from 2 yr and up will have a book gift exchange.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: The program will be December 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Bulverde Baptist Church. The 3 yr olds – Pre-Kindergarten will be performing. All parents are welcome and encouraged to come and see your children perform. Our dance students will also be performing.
SUPPLY FEE DUE JANUARY 2, 2017 Just a reminder that a $30 supply fee will be added to your invoice in January. This charge will apply to all 2 yr olds and older. Thank you.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS The Center will be open over the holidays. We are closed at noon on Dec 22nd, and all day on Dec 25th and 26th and Jan 1st.
Note: No curriculum will be taught from December 21st – January 2nd. School will resume on January 3rd. If you have a school-age child/children and will need care over the holidays please see the office.
THE CHRISTMAS GIFT The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his three-year-old daughter for wasting a whole roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, “This is for you, Daddy!” He was very embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found that the box was empty. He yelled at her, “Don’t you know that when you give someone a present, there’s supposed to be something inside it?” The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, “Oh Daddy, it is not empty, I blew kisses into the box, all for you, Daddy.” The father was crushed. He put his arms
around his little girl and begged for her forgiveness. It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years; and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who put it there. In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, friends, family, and especially God, our Heavenly Father. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold. Author Unknown
DIRECTOR’S NOTE: It’s our seventeenth Christmas together and I would like to say thank you to all our parents and family members that have become such a vital part of this ministry. You have all blessed me so much this past year and it has been a privilege to be a part of it all. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
Thanks again, Denise Harris
