A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Reverend Norman L. Passmore.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to the Reverend Norman L. Passmore, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Norman L. Passmore traversed these earthly bounds on March 16, 2003, in East Chicago, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Norman L. Passmore was the loving widower of Lillian Beatrice McGee Passmore, formerly of Lexington; and

WHEREAS, Norman L. Passmore's pastoral presence was felt throughout Central Kentucky, having been pastor at the St. Matthew A.M.E. Church in Midway, the Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Nicholasville, and the Perkins Chapel A.M.E. Church in Wilmore; and

WHEREAS, Norman L. Passmore was a learned man, having received much of his college education within the Commonwealth at Kentucky State University, the University of Kentucky, Lexington Theological Seminary, and Asbury Theological Seminary; and

WHEREAS, Norman L. Passmore's life on this earth enriched the lives of family, friends and parishioners in ways often known only to the individual; and

WHEREAS Norman L. Passmore is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Reverend Norman L. Passmore has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Reverend Norman L. Passmore, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Reverend Norman L. Passmore.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to the family of Reverend Norman L. Passmore, 1665 Harrogate Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40505-2732, and 2400 Vale Road, Lexington, Kentucky, 40514-1418.
