A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Warren Kenneth Clevenger.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Warren Kenneth Clevenger, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger was born on June 10, 1930, a native of Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on December 3, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger was the loving son of the late Luther and Elva Clevenger; he was the devoted husband and life companion of Wanda Wheeler Clevenger; and he is also survived by a loving son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Clevenger, and a son, Eric Clevenger, all of Louisa; he was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Clevenger, Victoria Leigh Clevenger, and Matthew Wheeler Clevenger, all of Louisa; and he also leaves behind two loving sisters, Jean Eggleston of St. Albans, West Virginia, and Brenda Horn of Cookville, Tennessee, and a loving brother, Paul Clevenger of Huntington, West Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger served his country with pride and distinction in the United States Air Force during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger was vice president of the Wheeler and Clevenger Oil Company, which represents Citgo, Exxon, and Sunoco in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia; he was involved in many real estate developments in the Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia Tri-State area, and he also was instrumental in the Falls Creek Development in Louisa; and

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger was an esteemed member of the Lawrence County community, where he served on the first board of directors at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa; he was chairman of the board of the Louisa First National Bank, and he also served as a director of Bank One; he was a member of the City of Louisa Water Board and the Lawrence County Library Board; and he also was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Louisa Rotary Club; and

WHEREAS, Warren Kenneth Clevenger was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisa, where his funeral service was held on December 7, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Warren Kenneth Clevenger has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Warren Kenneth Clevenger, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Warren Kenneth Clevenger.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Wanda Wheeler Clevenger, 210 North Lady Washington Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230.
