Idrija flacon

Idea and design: Irma Pervanja, Slovenien

Creation: Sonja Andersen, Ikast

Materiel: 7 pairs of bobbin, Idrija thread nr. 30 or Egyptian cotton 24/3

Start at the straight band in the middle of the lace with 5 pairs in linen stitch and with variable number of twists. A pin is placed in the middle of the line, chrochet when the twisting meets again. One pair is only used for the cloth stitch at the edge and the last pair is used at the bottom side in the middle.

In order to keep the width of the lace, maintain the 2. pair on the left side of the lace, then the arc is on the left side. When the arc is on the right side is it the 2. pair on the right side. To keep the lace at the pricking.

The worker change place in the arc and the pairs that are waiting to be worker are twisted once before it again becomes worker. It is only in the arc this happens. The dots at the pricking are used for pin. Remember to twist the worker by the pin.

Ending with reef knots.

Duchesse flower

Reconstruction and creation: Elke Thiele.

Materials: Numbers of pairs are not set. Use Egyptian cotton 60/2 and for gimp DMC nr. 16.

The gimp and the cord are highlighted in yellow, see diagram. At the outer edge at the lace there are picots and at the inner lace the edge braids with 3 pairs.

Start the lace at A, the left leaf inside the flower. At the end all the pairs are assembled in a bundle, exclude the pairs in cloth stitch + twist at the left side, it is first used again when the outer flower is made, see diagram at nr. 3. One pair is used to crochet all the threads up to the top of the second leaf, see diagram nr. 2. Repeat this, then the end of the second leaf are reached and make the third leaf. At the end of the third leaf the pairs are used for the outer flower. See the diagram, where to add the gimp. Together with the gimp add one single bobbin with thread 60/2. The gimp and the single bobbin work together as a pair in cloth. At B let the pairs rest and make a small band in cloth stitch from B to C, at C end the band and remove the pairs from the small band. Then continue with the lace from B. Crochet the flower to the small band, see diagram. In this way, a nerve, highlight the structure of the flower.

Filling with tally and braids are not crochet at the cloth stitch at the band, it is crochet around the band, see the diagram nr. 4.

Bracelet and earring

Idea, design and creation: Kirsten Koch, Kerteminde.

Materials: Bracelet 6 pairs K80 and 17 small beads. Number of beads may vary, depending on the length of the bracelet. Earring: 4 pairs K80 and 3 beads for each earring, total 6 beads. Other materials: one lock for the bracelet and to hangers for the earrings.

Start the lace straight, see diagram. The pair with the big dot is the pair with the bead.

How to make the pair with beads: wrap thread on one bobbin and then put all the beads onto the thread, before you make the other bobbin.

There is only cloth stitch in the lace. Every time you meet a big dot between the lines, push a bead into the lace. Close for the bead with a cloth stitch, makes the bead unable to move. Continue the lace until desired length, boat for the bracelet and the earrings

Ending with reef knots

It is also possible to make a collar, and then add the length for the bracelet.
