REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

It seems that to be successful in today’s home healthcare environment, one must possess Super Human powers! Administrators have to lead their staff through new frontiers with emerging technology and the land of the unknown as the very foundation of our industry is changing. They have to have keen vision to see into the future and must be armed with tools to mobilize in unfamiliar territory. Additionally, they have to have the kindness and care of Superman who looks out for the vulnerable and needy.

Please join Home Care Association of Washington for our April 2017 Annual Conference as a presenter! Help our providers learn how to “Unleash Their Superhero Powers” and maneuver their agencies and staff through changing reimbursement, regulatory and competitive environment. Provide them with information on partnerships, staffing, tools/technology and strategies that will support their efforts.

This is your opportunity to share your ideas and possible solutions with the best of the in Home Healthcare providers in the region.

Please complete the following form and submit by October 30, 2016 to be considered as a presenter at HCAW’s 2017 Annual Conference.

HCAW does not provide honorarium or expense reimbursement for faculty.

HCAW offers complimentary registration for the faculty Lead. This registration entitles faculty Lead to attend all education programs, general sessions, and the Vendor Fair for the day of their presentation.

ABOUT YOUR PRESENTATION

All presentations are 50 minutes long and should include an interactive portion. HCAW will not be printing any materials, but will instead provide electronic versions of your presentations to attendees. Presentation Slides are due by March 1, 2017

Intended Audience
Please indicate your intended audience for this RFP only.
Home Health: agencies providing skilled health care and supportive services, utilizing nurses, therapists (physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, respiratory therapists), medical social workers, home health aides, and often other services, such as nutrition counseling and pharmacy.
Home Care: agencies providing non-professional supportive services, such as home care aides, chore, respite and companion care.
Hospice: agencies providing medical, social, psychological and spiritual care for terminally ill patients and their families. In addition to the full array of skilled professionals employed by home health agencies, hospices also utilize chaplains and bereavement counselors, and sometimes other services such as massage therapists.
All In-Home Services
1. Provide a program description that enables attendees to select the presentation that will best meet their needs. Limit to 200 characters (approximately 40 words).
2. List your presentation title and 3 major learning objectives.
3. Provide a brief outline of the content to be presented.
4. Provide a copy of your presentation outline and include a rough timing sequence. In this outline, describe the training modalities (lecture, group discussion, individual cognitive activities, experiential activities, etc.) you use to actively engage the audience.
5. Describe any takeaway materials that you provide to the audience.

NOTE: Please provide proof of ownership/copyright of any art used in your presentation.

ABOUT YOU

In addition to your presentation and contact information, please forward a complete bio for faculty that includes name, education, current employment and a description of experience/research that endorses the expertise of the faculty member in the area of presentation

Upon receipt, your submission will be acknowledged and forwarded to the review selection committee. If your proposal is accepted, HCAW will request a Speaker Commitment Form along with providing a schedule of deliverables.
