Entering Class of 2018 Powell ScholarshipTerms and Conditions

Payment

The Powell Scholarship is available to Powell Scholars who meet the terms, conditions and renewal requirements as listed below. Students must be enrolled in an approved, bachelor’s degree program on a full-time basis to receive the scholarship, which will be applied to the Scholars account in two payments, during the fall and spring semester. To receive the scholarship, Powell Scholars must enroll fall semester, 2018.

Renewal Requirements

Powell Scholars must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better at the beginning of each academic year to be considered for Scholarship renewal for that year. Any violation of the University Code of Conduct and Honor Codewill be cause for immediate consideration of termination of Scholarship continuation.

Duration of Eligibility

Powell Scholarships may be renewed for full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for up to a total of four years (eight semesters) of scholarship support.

Other Terms and Conditions

The amount of all financial aid received by Powell Scholarship recipients may not exceed the cost of attendance to the University.

Scholarship recipients eligible for need-based funds will receive that amount to the level of calculated need after the Powell Scholarship amount is applied.

In addition, the combined value of this scholarship and any other tuition award (such as Cal Grant) cannot exceed your actual tuition and fee charges. Total tuition assistance may also be limited by policies associated with other programs or benefits, such as employee tuition remission or a Tuition Exchange scholarship.

Scholars selected for more than oneUniversity of the Pacific academic scholarship will receive the most advantageous award, and not a combination of the awards.

The Financial Aid Office will coordinate the distribution of Powell Scholarships and will notify Scholars of any required adjustments.
