I authorize the TSU Tigergem dance team head coach to verify that I am a full time student at Tennessee State University. I also authorize the head coach to verify any of the above information deemed necessary.

Each participant must attend an interview. This is part of the tryout process, and will be factored into each participant’s final score. All those interested in auditioning for the dance team must email to set up an interview time.

The audition process will consist of 2 mandatory dance clinics. During the clinics the participants will be taught a jazz and hip-hop routine that they will have to perform on the final tryout day. In addition to the two routines, everyone must execute the following skills:

Double /Triple pirouette

Jete’ Leap (split leap)

Calypso

Switch Leap

Pique/Chaine Turns

R/L/C Splits

Toe Touch

For additional points, there will be an opportunity for bonus points. The bonus is optional to each participant and they must display an elite dance skill.
