Roads Scholar Community Engagement ProjectGrants*

Purpose: OSU’sUniversity Division of Outreach and Engagement is providing an opportunity for Faculty from the Roads Scholar Tour to apply for community engagement funding, which enables learners, faculty, and or staff to engage with Oregon communities.

Recognizing thattheseexperiencesoften requireextraresourcesbeyond facultytime,Outreach and Engagementisoffering grantstoOSUfacultyforfiscalyear2017 tosupportexpensesassociated with servicelearning andcommunity engagementprojects.Thesemayincludetransportationcoststo off-campussites,smallmaterialscosts,costsassociatedwith experientiallearningcurriculumdevelopment(i.e.instructionalresources,wagesforassistancewith logistics,posterprinting, etc.).

Eligibility:AllOSUprofessionaland instructionalfacultyareeligibleto submita proposal.Proposalsfromteamsareencouraged.Proposalsmayrequestup to$2,000fortheproject;certain lineitemsmaynotbeeligibleforfunding dueto restrictionsontheuseof OSUEducation and GeneralFunds.

SubmissionLogistics: SubmittoJeff Sherman,Program Leader for Open Campus & Strategic Initiatives,viaemail() Proposals should be contained within 500 words and a two page max, andmay includean additionalspreadsheetpagedisplaying line-itemexpenses. The submission deadline is October 15, 2016.GrantfundsmustbeexpendedbyJune 30,2017.
