Eight Year Old Boy Rescued by Crocodile!
Thomas Hanson, a little boy who fell down from a high rock into a River in Florida yesterday, is
alive! Workers of a rescue team who came to the place where the accident happened said that this was
a real miracle.
Thomas had gone on a trip with his parentsand his older sister Janet in the woods near the River.
While the parents were having a picnic on a sunny field, the two children were playing on some rocks.
They wanted to see who could climb higher when suddenly Thomas slipped on some wet leaves and
fell into the river.
“The rock was very high, and Tommy hit his head on a big stone before he finally disappeared in the
water,” said his sister. “I was terrified and quickly ran to our mom and dad!”
When the parents heard what had happened, they quickly ran to the rocks where the children had
played. In a tourist guide, their mother had read that the river was full of dangerous crocodiles, and so
she feared that nobody could help her son any more.
While they were waiting for the rescue team which they had phoned, they were calling their son’s
name, but they got no answer.
“We both started to cry, because we were so afraid,” explained Ron, the boy’s father. “But then,
suddenly, Janet shouted that she had seen something!” So they quickly ran to their daughter, who was
standing next to the river at the bottom of the rocks. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw
what was happening.
“A young crocodile was swimming to us. On its back, we saw Thomas, who was looking a bit afraid,
but well off. The crocodile had rescued our son!”
Rescue workers said that they had never before seen something like that. Usually crocodiles bite
people who enter the river. But they think that probably, the young crocodile wasn’t hungry, and so it
brought the boy back to his family safely.
“We’re all very happy that nothing bad happened!” said Thomas’ mother. And Thomas promised: “I
will never climb on such a high rock again!”
