TBRA Administrator

  1. Receive technical assistance by TDHCA to prepare to serve households on the Project Access waiting list
  2. Administrator may request Relocation Contractor and Service Coordinator assist with TBRA Self Sufficiency
  3. Assist the Applicant transition from TBRA to Section 8 once their name comes up on the waiting list
  4. Households on the Project Access wait list may access TBRA for up to 60 months while continuing to recertifying every 12 months

Relocation Contractor and Service Coordinator

  1. Relocation Contractor trained on TBRA by TDHCA
  2. Relocation Contractor informs Applicant of TBRA relocation option
  3. Relocation Contractor contacts TBRA Administrator with a list of interested Applicants
  4. Relocation Contractor assists Applicant complete TBRA Application
  5. Relocation Contractor assists with finding a unit that will qualify for TBRA and Project Access
  6. Relocation Contractor and Service Coordinator relocate Applicant into the community
  7. Relocation Contractor and Service Coordinator assist with TBRA Self-Sufficiency requirements
  8. Relocation Contractor assists with transitioning the household to Project Access if within the first 90 days
  9. Relocation Contractor notifies TDHCA Project Access staff who the TBRA Administrator staff member is who is responsible for TBRA Self Sufficiency

Applicant

  1. Applicant applies for the Project Access Voucher before leaving the institution
  2. Relocation Contractor informs the Applicant about TBRA
  3. Applicant informs the Relocation Contractor if they want to participate in TBRA
  4. Applicant is educated about the local PHA tenant selection criteria
  5. Applicant tells Relocation Contractor if they believe they would not pass the local PHA tenant selection criteria
  6. Applicant applies for TBRA with assistance from Relocation Contractor
  7. Relocation Contractor and TBRA Administrator help locate housing for the Applicant
  8. Applicant relocates
  9. Applicant receives assistance from Relocation Contractor for 90 days
  10. Applicant works with TBRA Administrator and Service Coordinator to comply with TBRA Self Sufficiency
  11. Applicant notified a Project Access Voucher is available
  12. TBRA Administrator helps Applicant obtain Project Access voucher through local PHA and works with TDHCA Section 8 staff
  13. TBRA Administrator helps landlord transition rental payment assistance from TBRA to Project Access
