Prayer of Confession (In Unison)

Let us Pray… Heavenly Father, we have many things in our lives that we are not proud of… making us fearful to come before You with all that we are. We have not lived according to Your commandments, we have not forgiven others as we have been forgiven by You, we have not loved as You continue to love us, we have failed You once again… and so we ask Your forgiveness. Forgive us also for our reluctance to open ourselves fully - to a personal encounter with Your Holy presence. We pray for Your empowerment - so that we may be changed forever… (Silent, personal confession)… Amen.

People: I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the

Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,

dead, and was buried; He descended into hell. On the

third day He arose from the dead; He ascended into

heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father

almighty, and He will come again to judge the quick and

the dead.

Pastor: Do you believe in the Holy Spirit of God?

People: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic

church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness

of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

Amen.
