A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY

By Art Napolitano

ACN February, 2002 – The time for ACN is now! It’s time to step up to take full-advantage of being at the right place at the right time.

Almost 10 years ago, ACN began as a simple customer acquisition program for a medium-sized U.S. long-distance company. Today, ACN is far more than just a phone company. The company’s plans for 2002 include: New Country launches – Austria on March 2, the Republic of Ireland in April, and Italy in May; and while ACN Energy furthers its expansion in the USA, the international expansion is underway. ACN Energy has already launched in Canada while in Europe, preparations are aggressively moving ahead.

For those of you who will attend ACN’s first “European International Convention” on Feb. 15-17 in Gothenburg, Sweden, you will hear “first-hand” an exciting announcement regarding the expansion of ACN Energy into Europe. That is all I can say for now, but this is only the beginning. ACN will also be introducing lucrative new customer acquisition bonuses (CAB) and team customer acquisition bonuses (TCAB) which will give us an incredible opportunity to increase our commissions. The introduction of an exciting new product will allow us to attract many new customers all over Europe. Again,, this is all I can say prior to the convention.

I hope that you see enough value in your ACN business to be making it a priority to be in attendance. You won’t want to miss hearing ACN’s co-founders, who will be personally involved in the training. Top European producers will be recognized and this will be your chance to network with people from all over Europe. This will be more than a training, it will be a grand celebration. ACN has been massively successful in Europe and while billing over One Billion Minutes, we have only just begun. The ACN “world of opportunity” is expanding and the time is now.

In the North America, the business has been accelerating due to many factors. First, the realities that we faced from the events of September 11th and the slowed US economy has changed many people. Today, I believe more people are looking at life differently. Whenever we step back to honestly evaluate our own lives, we will see that in some ways we wished our situations were different. More fulfilled perhaps. In my life, it is love, family, friendship and spiritual growth that rank far ahead of anything else. The truth is, most people join ACN because it offers an incredible financial opportunity, but most people grow to appreciate that this is far more than just another way to earn

money. This is a “people helping people” business, a “people caring about people” program. What you will experience at the European convention or at the North American International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia (February 22-24) is something that is hard to put into words. It’s a feeling, a good feeling of coming together, a united feeling about people caring. In a world of diversity and competition, where someone usually wins at another persons expense, ACN reps world-wide can be proud in the accomplishment of others. Our entire program of advancement hinges on the “people helping people” philosophy. No one becomes an ETT, TC or RVP by themselves. First we must all help others to succeed before we can succeed. Like Zig Ziglar said, “Just help enough other people get what they want and you’ll get what you want.

In a world of new awareness, we are attracting all types of people who are looking for something different. In most cases it’s a simple financial decision to start an ACN business. In the end, you could never put a price-tag on the personal growth, caring, friendship and that feeling of family that thrives within the ACN environment. People helping people, regardless of nationality, race or religion is a beautiful thing. A priceless philosophy. Maybe the world could learn something from watching us.

SIMPLICITY OF DUPLICATION

By Jan-Eric Nyman– RVP Sweden

Once we had a clear picture of what we all wanted from our ACN business the duplication began. Having done networking before, we knew that the key to making it in any networking business would be to find a simple way to duplicate and teach the fundamentals of the opportunity. "Why not see what others think about switching phone services!" said, Mr. Tomas Nordlund as he stood up in the Hotel lobby where we were sitting. Making his way to a table, where there were 10 people gathered, he asked. "Excuse me, can I ask you all a question? If I could show you a way, where you could save money on your phone service at home, who would be interested?" Everyone raised their hands. "Thanks!" said Tomas and left. Then it came walked back to our table. Anyone can do this without having to complicate it. Keep it simple! Anyone can ask that question. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to do this! Everything became clear. We are not changing the buying habits that people have. Other network opportunities do that! They try to convince and talk people into something they are not familiar with. We are not asking them to do that. That has been the key to our success.

In order to get a network marketing business to work for you, the first thing you need to do is know WHY you are in the ACN opportunity. Without a why, there will be no road to lead you towards success. Write it down, clearly why you are in the business and then the "how" will become much clearer. Then you need to acquire customers to get paid on what you are doing. Getting customers is the first priority. People do what you do, and if you are not able to get customers, how can you think that you would make others get them? We set up our goal to reach RVP in world record time and though it took us a month longer than the goal was set up to be, we knew that if we would not have written that down and told everyone about it, we would not have made it. Working hard is good but working smart is even better. Smart as in keeping it simple and duplicatable. We all agreed in making a presentation where anyone was able to make a decision on the spot if they would like to join the ACN opportunity or not. That would be the most duplicatable way to do it. We have built our business from the homes of people and made startup training’s when needed. Keep it very, very simple. If you try to get all the information into someone’s head when he first sees the opportunity it will only make the decision process much longer and the chances are that he will cool off and never come in to the business.

Team Europe, is the name we have given ourselves. We are three different and very goal focused individuals. Mr. Kenny Nordlund, 24 years old has his mind set to keep it very, very simple. He has given many hours every week to support the organization in doing two-on-one presentations to show the business to new potential prospects. Kenny was tired of school so he quit in 8th grade to go to work like the adults were doing, to make his living. Now 24 years old, he is engaged in designing his life with his co-partners. What a fantastic future he has ahead of him.

Mr. Jan-Eric Nyman, 32 years old is one of the top networkers in Sweden but he is also a very good

administrator. The combinations of these skills makes him one of the best partners in the history

of networking, says Tomas. One key thing to success is knowing what other people want. Jan-Eric knows what he wants for him and his co-partners. Their goal is to become the biggest producing group in the history of ACN and before they can have holiday, the mutual agreement is to have 15 RVP legs in the organization. Jan-Erics life changed after a seminar with Mr. Anthony Robbins in the USA three years ago. Anthony has become his mentor for life and that has effected many people around him in the best of ways.

Mr. Tomas Nordlund, 46 years old is an expert in getting out of people what they really wants in life. As Tomas said, "When you get the why out of people they will never stop, they will keep on going and keep on working, the momentum takes over". The complementing talents of all three partners is the strength of Team Europe. They all held top positions in another network marketing company but where let down by poor management. They all knew that they could do it again, and much faster if they could find the right opportunity. ACN has proven to be that opportunity. Focus on what you want and your brain will believe in it. Anything your mind can conceive and believe you can achieve.

Be happy, be focused, keep it simple and help the startup with all new Team Trainers and you will see your business explode. Thanks ACN for being in the right place at the right time. Lets go out and take them all!

If It's Thursday It Must Be York

By Rob Jackson– TC Scotland

They say "Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery" but in the case of ACN it is a recipe for success. Having listened on many occasions to George and Artie stressing the importance of PBR's and Third Party in building a large ACN business, I resolved to take their advice and put these principles into practice.

I discussed my thoughts with Clive Goldthorpe, one of my most committed front line and he agreed that this was something we had to do and to do it as soon after New Year as possible.

At the end of a period of intense activity on the phone over Christmas and New Year we had set up a week's tour from Yorkshire in the north of England to Suffolk in the south with PBR's every evening and meetings during the day. As part of the preparation we asked our team members who were hosting the PBR's to invite at least fifty people without pre-judging any of them as by doing so they would ensure a reasonable turnout. We also arranged to bring either George or Artie in on a live call to each PBR as a very powerful "Third Party".

As Clive lives in the far north west of Scotland he had to set out the day before our departure just to reach me!

On the first day of our trip we arrived at Newark in Nottinghamshire and were welcomed by a very nervous David and Linda. This was their first ever PBR and they just did not know what to expect.

As the start time approached the first guest arrived and then another, and then another and then another until there was a mad hunt for chairs.

The one thing that really impressed the guests and that they all remarked upon was the fact that we were able to pick up the phone and bring in live, one of the top producing RVP's in the company. Everyone in the room looked at David and Linda in a totally different light after the call. This was not the David and Linda they had known for years this was a David and Linda who had found a way to change peoples lives and this happened simply because Art Napolitano edified David and Linda. When a millionaire in the business you are looking at tells you something, there is a tendency to pay very close attention.

By the end of the evening we had four very excited new team members. One of them was a young woman who went home, got on the phone that night and got her first two customers and the following morning got another four to make up the six she needed to qualify. All of the team in Newark are now working out how they can get to Gothenburg in February and they have asked me to come back shortly to spend a week doing PBR's with each of them.

Next we arrived in Stowmarket in Suffolk. After a few hours sleep we were up for a 10:30 meeting over coffee with two of Chris and Sara's friends. Ann was a Red Apple and Kelia just slightly green but she is in the process and you cannot ask any more.

After a quick lunch we set out for Holmfirth, West Yorkshire and an evening PBR for Martin. When we met up with Martin we discovered that rather than inviting as many as possible he had hand picked a select few to invite for that evening. Surprise, surprise no

one turned up and we were left listening to the regular Wednesday call on our own. We discussed that evening's results with Martin and agreed that we should go for another on the Friday, but this time he would invite as many as possible without any pre-judging.

We spent the day on Thursday helping Martin with the invitations for the Friday and in the evening we set off for York only an hour and a half away. We had left in plenty of time, which turned out to be very fortuitous as just a few miles from or destination we lost all of the hydraulics on the car. No power steering, no suspension and very limited brakes but we managed to limp to the venue at Shaun's house and when we arrived I said let's take care of the important business first, we can call the RAC after the meeting is over. The evening was a great success not only did we bring in some new members for Shaun, but when Neville the RAC man arrived he made the mistake of asking me what I did. Don't you just love when people ask you that. Well, within five minutes (now 2:30 in the morning) I had Neville signing up as a phone customer for Shaun. Who say's it is hard to get customers, they are everywhere!

We finally arrived back in Holmfirth on the Friday morning, dropped the car off the transporter at the local garage with a note and the keys and went off for a few hours sleep.

At Martin's house that night it was a completely different story from the Wednesday. The guests actually turned up!

One of the couples said when they arrived that they had another appointment that evening and would have to leave just after nine o' clock. During the presentation I set the scene for the call with George by telling about George's background showing them extracts from his Web Site, some of his self-development materials and musical accomplishments. As the time for the call approached I noticed them looking at their watches, but within a few minutes of the call with George they were on the edge of their seats hanging on to his every word. Only when the call was over did they say they had to go. They said this was not an excuse but that they really wanted to know more about ACN and how they could get started and we arranged to link up on a call at the beginning of the following week.

Two other guests decided to come onboard straight away one of whom was the President of the local Chamber Commerce, a "Scouser" with great contacts back in Liverpool. The excitement in the room was tangible and no one seemed to want to go home but we finally wound up at a quarter to midnight.
