HAPPY VALENTINE’S GREETING MOVIE CARD

- Make a folder on your H drive called VALENTINE_____5 pts.
- Log on to the Internet
- Using Google Images
- Find 4 appropriate pictures you can use to create a Valentine Greeting Card
- Right clickeach picture, and click File SaveAs. Save each picture into your new Valentinefolder _____ 10 pts.
- From your START button, choose All Programs, and choose Windows Movie Maker.
- Under CAPTURE VIDEO, import all 4 pictures
- Drag all 4 pictures to the time line
- Save the project as Valentinemovie_____5 pts.
- Under EDIT MOVIE, choose make titles or credits
- Choose add a title at the beginning
- Create an appropriate title for your movie (2 pts.)
- Change the font, the font color, and the font size (2 pts.)
- Change the background color of the title (2 pts.)
- Add the animation of your choice to the text (2 pts.)
- Choose done add title to the movie(2 pts.)

- Under EDIT MOVIE, choose make titles or credits
- Choose add credits at the end
- Change the animation to Credits: roll up, stacked (2 pts.)
- Add your name (1 pt.)
- The date (1 pt.)
- Class title (1 pt.)
- Name of the software used (Windows Movie Maker) (1 pt.)
- Change the font, font color, and font size (2 pts.)
- Change the background color (2 pts.)
- When you are finished, choose done, add the credits to your movie_____10 pts.
- Using EDIT MOVIE, create transitions between each clip (2 pts.ea.)_____10 pts.

- When you are finished, click on File and then choose SAVE MOVIE FILE.
- When the SAVE WIZARD window comes up, click NEXT.
- Under number one, give the file the name ValentineMOVIE
- Leave #2 as the default. Click NEXT.
- Click NEXT again.
- Wait for the movie to save.
- Click Finish.______25 pts.
- The movie will come up on the screen. (If it doesn’t, just click on your shared movie folder and click on the Valentine file.)
TO PUT MUSIC IN:
- Go to (You MUST use music from this site ONLY!)
- When you see the dialog box, you will notice that everything is in alphabetical order.
- At the bottom right, there is a search box for you to respond to.
- Put in a major word or term that describes the type/kind of music you want to search.
- For example, for Valentine’s Day we put in LOVE.
- Press the search button.
- After you find the music you would like to use, make sure it is a MP3 file, you need to right click it.
- When you right click, it will give you the option to Save Target as.
- You will immediately be given a SAVE AS dialog box.
- Click the green arrow that’s at the top of the dialog box and pick a realistic folder for you to put the music in.
- If you play around with the drop down menu, the computer will not let you save it and you have to start all over again.
- Please take a moment to REMEMBER WHERE you saved it.

- Now get out of the Internet and go back to your movie maker file.
- With your project on your screen, click on the left side under CAPTURE VIDEO…import audio/music.
- Go to where you saved your music file, and click import.
- You know that your music is imported when you see the music note with the name of the file under it in your COLLECTIONS box.
- Now drag the music note down to the AUDIO/MUSIC line at the bottom of the screen.
- RESAVE your project.
- To verify that it is working, click the PLAY button on the movie.

SHOULD YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE VOLUME OF THE SOUND?
- Click into your desktop.
- Press the F1 key.
- Help and Support dialog box will appear.
- Key in “volume” and press SEARCH.
- Follow adjusting volume directions.
