About the Families

w  During the calendar year January – December 2010, the FRISS teams started interventions with 109 families.

w  These families contained 250 children.

w  162 (65 per cent) of these children were open to Children’s Social Care at some point in the year.

Changing Trax: 88% of children were open to CSC in 2010

FIP: 79% of children were open to CSC in 2010

Community FIP: 35% of children were open to CSC in 2010

w  72 (29 per cent) of the children had a CAF logged for them by the end of 2010.

Anti-Social Behaviour

49 per cent of all FRISS families recorded on the FIPs Information System as having reached a planned exit (at 14/02/11) had identified Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) issues when they started the intervention. This fell to 28 per cent at planned exit.

Anti-social behaviour actions fell by 70 per cent.


Attendance

For the children open to FRISS in 2010 for whom attendance information was available:

w  Average attendance in autumn 2010 was 2.5 per cent higher than in autumn 2009.

w  Of 56 children whose attendance was less than 90 per cent in autumn 2009, attendance improved for 42 (75 per cent).
