  • Use appropriate tools strategically.
  • Attend to precision.
  • Look for and make use of structure.
  • Look for and express regularity I repeated reasoning.

Remedial (R)
Enrichment (E)
(to be completed after receiving diagnosticassessment results) / 7th grade Math (remedial):
When quantities are related, knowing the values of one quantity can help find the value of the other.
Relationships can be represented using equations, graphs, tables, and words.
(Enrichment):
Students will identify that some representations of relationships make it easier to make predictions and solve problem.

Step 1: Creating Vision and Planning for Assessment
1st Unit Plan - GOAL
Students will be able to solve Multi-step equations (word problems) with 75% accuracy.
1st Unit Plan – Planning For Assessment
How will I measure my 1st Unit Goal?
I will be assessing my students with a Unit assessment (word problems).
How will I measure progress toward the 1st Unit Goal?
I WILL BE ASSESSING MY STUDENTS BY GIVING THEM TICKETS OUT THE DOOR AND/OR BELL Work, student’s homework, and classwork.
1ST Unit Plan –Big Ideas
Students will know:
  • Algebraic symbols and variables represent unknown or changing values.
  • Inverse operations are used to solve Questions.
  • An equality is a number sentence that shows the relationship between quantities that are not equal.
