CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN MAKING APPLICATION
FOR SUPPORT STAFF POSITION
The Board of Education of the Unified School District of DePere is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Custodian III
· 12 Month position
· Anticipated work hours – 2:30 to 11:00 p.m. when school in session, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. when school not in session
· Tentative start date: As soon as possible
· Wage: $13.07/hr.; shift differential of $.40 per hour for second shift
· Anticipated location: Altmayer Elementary
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous custodial experience in a school or institutional setting.
3. Ability to relate well to students, staff and general public.
4. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
5. Ability to operate simple equipment – i.e., buffers, waxers, and related devices.
6. Ability to read, understand, and apply simple and direct instructions.
7. Ability to work occasional weekends.
8. Ability to lift 50 pounds loading and unloading for periods of up to 1 hour, 100 pounds infrequently. Physical capabilities include bending, twisting, repetitive side-to-side motion and repetitive wrist motion, as well as the ability to reach, carry, push, pull, lift and handle item(s) weighing up to 100 pounds while performing work duties. Position requires unrestricted mobility on a regular and consistent basis for the majority of the workday.
9. Tolerance for and ability to work with chemicals, disinfectants, waxes, etc.
