UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS COMMITTEE

MEETING

April 20, 2007

G. McNamara called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Minutes were read and approved.

SALES SPECIALIZATION

R. Spreng explained the need for a sales specialization explaining that students were not prepared for a sales position when they graduated. Discussion will continue in the fall.

BUS 291 AND BUS 491

These courses were voted on and approved unanimously. They will now be voted on at the faculty meeting in April.

ECONOMICS COURSES

There was discussion on 3 credits of Econ 300 or 400 level courses as part of the core. M. Mazzeo will discuss this with our Economics rep. Discussion and vote will resume in the fall.

ITM 322 (Entrepreneurship Specialization)

Motion was made to allow an email vote on this course. The departmental rep will discuss with his group members and report as to whether this is resource neutral. Motion passed. If the course is approved, it will be included as part of the specialization that goes before the faculty this month.

NEW BUSINESS

All undergraduate programs will be reviewed in the fall.
