Senior Pharmacy Technician Columbia, Maryland

·  As the In-Service Training Coordinator, I prepared and compiled an Emergency Preparedness Training for all pharmacy employees.

·  I created an official training manual for the specialty pharmacy and utilized it to cross-train two existing pharmacy technicians to work for the specialty pharmacy.

·  I developed an extensive hands-on training program to train eight new pharmacy technicians that were hired for the alternative fulfillment program between February and November of 2013.

·  Many errors and oversights were occurring in the pharmacy due to technicians lacking the knowledge of specific processes used in the pharmacy. I created a process guideline which resulted in defining productivity expectations and reduced mistakes.

·  There was a delay in processing refills due to untrained customer service representatives. I created an adjudication training program and trained eight customer service representatives which resulted in a decrease of the refill call time and insurance mistakes.

·  I was the project leader for the implementation of the co-pay increase of two medications into the pharmacy's current processes.

·  Demonstrated my knowledge of pharmacy information systems by analyzing pharmacy historical billing reports to identify invoice mistakes in order to help eliminate errors in the future.

·  Over a four week period I assisted in diminishing prescription referral backlog by processing and filling approximately 20,000 prescriptions to exceed patient satisfaction.

·  Corresponded with insurance companies to obtain patient eligibility by resolving insurance claim problems in order to fill patient’s prescriptions.

·  Developed positive relationships through collaborations with employees while providing reliable training and expert assistance with insurance adjudication.

·  Consistently communicated with specific doctors to escalate problem prescriptions to strengthen relationships between the pharmacy and physicians.
