Information for Practices
Two Week Wait Referrals:
Please note all referrals to the Two Week Wait Bureau should be sent via email to
as the fax machine is being phased out. This email address is contained on all the Two Week Wait proformas for suspected cancers and the proforma for the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic.
The following specialties are exceptions and have 2WW services on the E-Referral Service which require electronic attachments:
  • Breast 2WW suspected and non-suspected cancer referrals
  • Dermatology 2WW referrals
  • Endocrine Surgery 2WW referrals

Obstetric Input for High Risk Patients:
Please note GPs should refer any high risk patient who requires further obstetric input during their pregnancy using the new email address: This email is frequently checked.

Tips on using E referrals:
Practices may wish to tag emails with attached Two Week referrals to ensure automatic receipts for email arriving and also that the email has been read. This will create an audit trail.

Update on Anti-Coagulation in Oxfordshire – Evening Meeting 21 September:
This meeting for GPs and Community Pharmacists aims to: answer questions about modern management of Venous Thromboembolism and Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation; increase GP understanding of NOACs; and use to good effect ‘Time in Therapeutic Range’ (TTR) for Warfarin patients.
The meeting will be held in Cowley, Oxford on Wednesday, 21 September 2016 at 6.30pm. Please see attached flyer
