Twenty-second Annual Synod

of the Diocese of the Northeast

October 3, 4, and 5, 2013

Mystic, Connecticut

Greetings from St. Matthias Anglican Church in Mystic, Connecticut!

We are honored to host the 2013 Annual Synod of the Diocese of the Northeast. The Synod events will begin Thursday afternoon, October 3, and go through Saturday morning, October 5.

Aside from the worship services, which will be held at the Olde Mistick Village Chapel, all Synod events will be held at Quality Inn, 9 Whitehall Avenue (CT Route 27), Mystic, CT. This location is just off I-95 at Exit 90, and is only 3/10 mile from Olde Mistick Village.

The Synod Registration Fee is $95.00; included in the fee are Thursday supper, Friday lunch, and the Friday evening Synod Banquet, plus 18% gratuity and 6.35% CT state sales tax on those three meals. These meals will be catered by the adjacent La Luna Ristorante. For guests staying at Quality Inn, complimentary hot breakfast is included with the room.

Details on accommodations are on a separate page, as well as directions to Mystic.

We regret that those who are attending Synod and partaking of the meals, but are neither Clergy nor Delegates, still must register as Visitors and pay the Registration Fee. If a person wishes to attend only the Synod Banquet, the cost is $35.00

Please endeavor to return your registration form, and make your room reservations, no later than August 31, 2013! Sixty rooms have been blocked for our group, any rooms not reserved by September 3 will be returned to inventory, and later bookings would be subject to availability and current rates. On the flip side, if there is enough demand, we may be able to block more rooms at the discount rate offered to us; but again, reserve rooms early!

We look forward to welcoming you to Mystic Country, and to St. Matthias Anglican Church.

Yours in the faith,

Deacon Merrill

The Rev. Mr. Merrill R. Perkins,

Deacon-in-charge
