Ansley Golf Club is a premier private country club located in Midtown Atlanta. We offer a number of facilities and services to our members to include Championship Golf (9 holes in town), Tennis, Aquatics, Fitness Center, The Shark’s Den (Children’s Activities Room), The 1912 Grille (Adult Casual Dining), The Ansley Room (Family Casual Dining), Shuttle Services, The Racquet Room (Tennis Sports Bar), Poolside Pavilion, and Renovated Banquet Facilities. We recently completed $5.5M Clubhouse renovation which includes enhanced fitness facilities, upgraded and expanded Men’s Grille, City View Banquet Terrace, expanded Ansley Room, and outdoor Adult Dining. We also offer golf and clubhouse facilities at our Settindown Creek location in Roswell/North Fulton County. A $1.2M Clubhouse renovation as well as state-of-the-art golf training center were completed at this location in 2016. Settindown Creek’s championship 18-hole course is nationally-ranked and has played host to a number of prestigious golf events such as the 2012 Georgia State Amateur, the 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, two Nike Tour Championships, and the NCAA Regional Championships. The Settindown Creek clubhouse offers a fitness center and intimate dining and banquet facilities.

Job Description

I.Position

Banquet Manager

II.Job Summary

Work closely with the Club Manager. Responsible for the general operation of staff functions relating to F&B, Special Events, Club Functions, Silverware and China Inventory. Responsible for operation of all aspects of the clubhouse in the absence of the Club Manager and perform specific tasks as requested by him/her

III.Job Tasks (Duties)

  1. Exhibits a “Passion for Service” towards all Members, Employees, Guests and Vendors while overseeing club operations on a daily basis.
  2. Manages all aspects of the clubhouse in the absence of the Club Manager
  3. Responsible for staff levels and hiring/firing process for Banquet Staff.
  4. Ordering of supplies, linen and replacements for daily club operations.
  5. Monitors the financial performance of F&B department and directs corrective action procedures as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.
  6. Monitors internal cost control procedures
  7. Plans and coordinates training and professional development programs for himself/herself and club personnel
  8. Assists the Club Manager in developing/implementing policies and procedures for daily club operations
  9. Maintains contact with members and helps to assure maximum member satisfaction
  10. Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees
  11. Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout the club to assure that cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently attained.
  12. Serves as the chairman of the Employee Committee
  13. Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled
  14. Interacts with members answering questions, solving problems, overseeing services and cleanliness and showing the club facilities to visitors
  15. Undertakes special projects as requested by the Club Manager
  16. Counsels with other managers and employees about employee grievances and complaints; directs problem correction where possible
  17. Monitors labor: evaluates scheduled and actual labor hours and costs
  18. Researches new products and develops an analysis of their costs/benefits

IV. Qualifications

College degree required, Hospitality degree a plus. Ideal candidate is working towards CCM certification. Five-ten years of management experience leading teams is required; private club experience desired. Must be able to build, lead and motivate team members. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to work in both an indoor and outdoor environment..
