Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25) Jesus uses tough language that we may not want to hear. But, we are all called to be generous with all our gifts. Not just the ones we pick and choose, but all our gifts: our time in prayer to God, our talent in participating in parish ministries and our treasure supporting our local parish and other charities.
Many thanks for your generosity for this past weekend’s second collection for Heat & Air Conditioning. A total of $3,153.00 was collected.
Once a month we will be highlighting one of the many ministries here at Corpus Christi.
Altar Rosary Society – The purpose of the Altar Rosary Society is to encourage its members’ religious development by honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary as the mother of Jesus through the recitation of the rosary on behalf of all members throughout the world. The Society secures her patronage and derives its spiritual strength through the recitation of the rosary on behalf of all members throughout the world. The Society is open to all practicing Catholics who wish to promote the devotion to Mary through the rosary. Meetings are held on the second Sunday of the month following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Anyone interested can join the group atmass or you may contact the parish office.
Marriage Preparation Programs –We are presently looking for
couples from the parish who would be interested in training to present Marriage Preparation Programs. The Diocesan Family Life Office would train them and they would be asked to commit to one session per year. This also would be an asset to have in our own parish.
Any couples interested in training, please see Fr. Damian or contact the parish office.
Corpus Christi St. Vincent DePaul Society meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. sharp in the rectory basement . All new members are encouraged to attend. The next meeting will be held this Wednesday, October 14th. Looking forward to meeting all new members.
Fr. Damian Breen will be the celebrant for the Sacrament of Confirmation next Saturday October 17, 2015 10:00 a.m.

2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal
Grace, Mercy & Peace
The Office of Vocations provides two basic services to the Diocese of Metuchen. First, it takes care of the education and formation of her seminarians, this includes pastoral visits to each of those young men studying for the Diocese of Metuchen every semester. Second, the Office assists young men and women who may be hearing the call to serve within the Diocese and empowers parishes to find candidates that will make good and holy priests, sisters and brothers.
Your gift to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal helps to support this essential ministry. Please give generosity.

Heavenly Father,
Heavenly Father, bless your Church with an abundance of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters.
Give those you have called to the married state and those you have chosen to live as single persons in the world, the special graces their lives require.
Form us all in the likeness of your Son so that in him, with him and through him, we may love you always and everywhere. With Mary we ask this through Christ our LordAmen.
