Game Overview:

Forged Conflict is a turn-based strategy game where the player is given the power to change the course of the battles through a player character. This infuses the brawls within the game with a more action-oriented feel.

Gameplay in Forged Conflict involves two parts; troop movement and the action sequences that occur when engaging foes. Troop movement functions play out with selected characters being able to move a certain amount of spaces, and direct attack units being able to attack on the same turn. When an attack is initiated by a direct attacking unit, the game switches to a real-time battle.

During a direct attack on the enemy, the player controls an “officer” unit of the troop, and they are free to lay waste to the enemy with their grunts acting as backup. This occurs on the top screen of the DS and the officer unit is controlled by the joypad and face buttons on the handheld.

On the bottom screen are a series of touch screen general commands the player is able to give to their unit mid-battle. This allows the player to use their thumbs to quickly give orders without ever needing to look away. It is imperative to the player’s progression to master both the button and touch screen input!

Multiple players are more than welcome to join the battle in both the 4-player co-operative Grand Story Mode and up to 8-player versus Bladestorm mode. Fight with or against your friends and foes!
