Qualifications for WV E-Learns Course Developer (Maximum 12 – World Language 6, ESL 6)

  • In-depth knowledge of West Virginia’s current World LanguageorESL(ELP)curriculum and standards
  • Previous experience instandards-based curriculum throughWest Virginia Department of Education initiativespreferred
  • Previous experience in creation and delivery of professional development at school, county or state level
  • Previous experiences in distance learning opportunities
  • Current West Virginia Teaching License
  • Access to and proficiency in the use of email and basic word processing

Commitment to the Project

  • Participate in a maximum of three online webinar sessions.
  • Work independently to complete two lessons
  • Submit drafts and final work in accordance to specified deadline

Project Incentives

  • $200 per complete lesson development
  • $100 for participation in three online webinar sessions
  • Maximumamount of total teacher compensation: $500 per teacher

Project Timelines

  • April 12: Application Deadline
  • April 15 : Notification of acceptance
  • Week of April 15: First Informational Webinar
  • Week of May 13: Second Follow up Webinar
  • Week of June 17: Third Follow up Webinar
  • June 21: Submit all completed Lessons
