This Indenture made this 15th Day of October 1803 between Jonathan Huddleston of Rutherford County & state of North Carolina of the one part & Elisha Blankenship of the said County of the other part witnesseth that said Hudleston for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Elisha Blankenship a tract of land containing one hundred acres lying & being in the County of Rutherford on the West side of Elijah Blankenships land and on the South of John Withrows and bounded as follows, Viz. Beginning on a red oak his own corner then sough seventy eight poles to a white oak then north eighty two west eleven poles to a black oak an old corner of said Blankenships then with his line wouth fifty nine East one hundred and thirty two poles to a stake in Elijah Blankenships line then ?? in Withrows line then North eighty three West one hundred and thirty poles to a stake then south thirty poles to the beginning to have and to hold the granted land & premises with all the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Elijah Blankenship his heirs & assigns forever & the said Jonathan Huddleston doth warrant & forever defend the said granted land and premises with all the appurtenance to the same belonging from him the said Huddleston & his heirs & assigns and all other persons whatsoever unto the said Elisha Blankenship & his heirs forever.
