1. SCOPE: The intended outcome of this lesson is to produce officers who can confidently perform Tactical Personnel System Functions in their future assignments. The lesson begins by illustrating how to perform a basic task of creating a manifest in TPS to performing system administration tasks. Throughout the course, students are provided several opportunities to reinforce material by relating contemporary operating experiences to the content. Opportunities to demonstrate doctrinal proficiency, critical thinking, and oral/written communication skills are provided throughout the lesson.
This lesson supports multiple AG Technical desired educational outcomes, preparing students to be confident leaders who are able to apply doctrinal concepts and sound judgment while performing tactical personnel system functions.
This lesson builds upon the foundation established during classes covered during the Man The Force module. It is interrelated with other key function lessons for the core competency Man The Force.

2. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Action: Demonstrate Tactical Personnel System (TPS).
Condition: In a classroom environment, with access to a personal computer with Tactical Personnel System (TPSv3.0) mobile training application loaded, Scan Bar for TPSv3.0 application loaded, TPS functional guidance, and with an awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and actors.
Standard: The students will have met the standards when they can accurately identify the components of the Casualty Operations system to include:
1. Create a Manifest in TPS
2. Add or update personnel to the TPS database
3. Create or edit Task Force information
4. Generate reports using TPS
5. Perform System Administration tasks
Evaluation: You will be evaluated and must obtain an 80% or higher (70% for international students) on the end of module, MOD “B” assessment for Man The Force.
