12 July 2007

Tropical Depression Three-E developed from a tropical wave that crossed the west coast of Africa on 24 May and entered the eastern North Pacific around 6 June. Convection associated with the wave increased, and a broad area of low pressure formed a few hundred miles south of Acapulco on 8 June. The disturbance moved northwestward and gradually became better organized over the next couple of days, and the system became a depression on 11 June, about 450 n mi south of the southern tip of Baja California. The depression moved northwestward over cooler waters and through a stable air mass, degenerating to a remnant low late the following day.
