Trip Down Memory Lane

Ulster American Folk Park(A5 Strabane Road)

Immerse yourself in the story of Irish emigration at the museum that brings it to life. Learn what life was like for our ancestors here in Omagh, Ireland and America. Experience the emigrant adventure as you journey from the thatched cottages of Ulster, on board a full scale emigrant sailing ship, to log cabins of a new homeland on the American Frontier. Meet an array of costumed characters on your way with traditional crafts to show, tales to tell and food to share. You can also visit the Titanic Exhibition that is currently on display (up until 2014) at the Park which looks at the stories of some Irish emigrants. Explore a 3rd Class Cabin, listen to the voices of those involved and listen to stories of those who handed over their tickets in Queensland on 11th April 1912 for a journey to a new life.
