Mission Statement

Trinity Catholic Academy provides quality education in the Roman Catholic tradition to students of all faiths through development of spirit, mind, and body. Partnering with parents, we strive to help each student develop a personal relationship with God and a commitment to serving others.

News:

Dads for Trinity: TheDads for Trinitywould like to thank everybody that came out and supported the steak fry in December.We would also like to thank Machelle Urban-Senica and her crew, especially Ralph Kurtz for cooking over 100 delicious steaks.The event raised $1,506.00which was given to the school for future expenses on the cafeteria floor. An upcoming Lenten Fish Fry is tentatively being planned in February or March.

A PTSA and Dads for Trinity Work Day is scheduled for Sunday, January 18th, from 11:00 until 2:00.

Box Tops: Keep collecting Box Tops!! Our school recently received $472. This money goes into our PTSA account which is raising money for a new kitchen floor and new floor for our teacher's lounge.

Spirit Wear and Used Uniform Sale: We will have a Spirit Wear and Used Uniform Sale on Friday, January 16th at TCA from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m.

Elks Free Children's Orthopedic Clinic: The Mendota and Oglesby Elks Lodges will host a free children's orthopedic clinic with Dr. Richard Erickson on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at IL Valley Community Hospital, 925 West Street, Peru, IL on the main floor across from the Radiology Department. Please contact the Elks Children's Care Program to schedule appointments at 800-272-0074 weekdays from 9:00 a.m. Until 4:00 p.m.

Spalding Scholarship Grants/FACTS Grant & Aid: Anyone interested in applying for tuition assistance from the Spalding Scholarship Program or From Trinity Catholic Academy must fill out the following forms: Spalding Application and FACTS Grants & Aids form. BOTH FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY KIND OF HELP. Both applications will soon be on our school website at www.lasallecatholic.org.

Also, the Spalding Scholarship Applications need to reach Peoria by 3/15/15. Each application needs confirmation from Mr. Schmitt and Fr. Dittmer that your child is in good standing at TCA and you are in good standing as Parishioners. Please have your SPALDING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION to Mrs. DeLaTorre by March 6th so one letter from each, Mr. Schmitt and Fr. Dittmer, can accompany all of the applications in one envelope. Applications will not be accepted after March 6th.

Scholarship for 2015-2016: Joseph J. Hohner Scholarship and Educational Board of La Salle County – This is a one-year scholarship open only to full-time students who are legal residents of the La Salle County Award selection is based on BOTH need and merit. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year, please contact the school office for the necessary forms.

Fundraising:

Rip's Chicken Night: Take a break from cooking and enjoy Rips Chicken while supporting TCA!! The event will be held on Tuesday, January 27th from 4:30 until 7:30. Tickets are $8.00 which includes ¼ chicken (or chicken strips), fries, and bread. Carry-outs available at no extra charge. There will be raffle items and a 50/50 drawing. Don't miss out on all the fun!! To get tickets: send money in an envelope marked TCA Rips Night, and your tickets will be sent home with your child.
