About the University & location

Bodoland University established in 2009 as a state university, is the premier institution of higher education on the north bank of Brahmaputra in the district of Kokrajhar, BTC, Assam. The University was established particularly for uplifting the tribal people of the region. It has 14 departments and offers PG, Diploma, M.Phil., Ph.D.courses of Arts and Science.

The University is just 8 kms away from Kokrajhar town; regular public transport service is available throughout the day. The nearest rail and bus station is situated at the heart of the town which is directly linked withthe major city andthe state capital i.e. Guwahati, (distance between Guwahati and Kokrajhar is less than 200 Kms). All the major trains including Rajdhani Express have stoppage in Kokrajhar.
