5.Allopticalconnectorsoncableshallbecleanedincompliancetoopticalconnector

manufacturesspecificationsandcovered

withdustcapsuntilconnectiontothefiberopticmodule.

3.3INSTALLATION

3.4TESTING

A.TestingtheFiberOpticContactMappingLink.

1.Verifythatthecontactleadsandopticalfibersareproperlyconnected.

2.Makesurethatpowerisappliedtoallfiber

opticmodules,controllers,andreceiverdriversorotherequipmentusedinthesystem.

3.Successfulcontactmappingoperationshouldbeconfirmedatthispointbyusing

theswitchestotogglethecontactsopenand

closed.

3.5CLEANING

A.Followallinstructionsforproperuseofsolventsandadhesivesusedforterminationandsplicing.

B.Atcompletionoftheinstallation,disposeofallfiberscrapsproperly.
