MEGT Position Description ANP - Transition and Training Coordinator – Fixed Term

Objectives of the Division:

MEGT Apprenticeship Network Provider (ANP) is contracted to the Australian government through the Department of Education and Training (DET) to market and administer the Australian Apprenticeships Support Network (AASN). MEGT ANP offers a free service to employers, potential and current Australian Apprentices (includes apprentices and trainees) by:

·  providing customised pre-commencement services designed to screen, test, stream and match apprentices (and apprenticeships) to potential employers

·  completing and lodging National Training Contracts with the relevant State/Territory Training Authority

·  determining eligibility for participation and government funding

·  processing where applicable, incentive payments to employers and personal benefits and Trade Support Loans to Australian Apprentices

·  providing advice to employers and Australian Apprentices on relevant training packages

·  monitoring the progress of individual Australian Apprenticeships

·  providing tailored support such as mentoring for Australian Apprentices and employers

·  attending workplaces to provide support prior to and during the Australian Apprenticeship

Objectives of the Position:

The role of the ANP Transition and Training Coordinator is to work with the National Operations Manager to facilitate changes required under the AASN contract – with a focus on the AAMS system implementation. The role will also be responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of training materials across the ANP to allow the division to meet the requirements of the AASN contract e.g. Your role Your Responsibility incorporating Universal, In-training and Gateway services. The incumbent will also be required to deliver/facilitate training sessions as required. The position is initially for a fixed period and will be reviewed prior to the end of the employment period.

Relationships:

·  Reporting to the National Operations Manager

·  Working closely with State & National Managers and with staff across the ANP

·  Delivering training to ANP managers and staff as required

Selection Criteria:

·  Knowledge of the AASN Contract

·  A solid understanding of FFS structure and trigger points under AASN

·  The ability to design on-line training solutions

·  Experience with Learning Management Systems

·  Demonstrate ability to analyse training needs and to prepare and deliver training to support In depth knowledge of all services delivered by an ANP

·  An understanding of roles and responsibilities within an ANP

·  An understanding of change management process and experience implementing change

·  High level organisational and time management skills

·  Established writing skills with attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills

·  Computer literacy and knowledge with experience in the operation of Microsoft products.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

·  Qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment, or equivalent experience in this area

·  Ability to develop on-line training materials and manage these via a Learning Management Systemt

·  Experience in change management processes

·  Ability to identify change required and to document processes

·  Experience in an AAC/ANP or AASN environment

·  Experience in a training role with a demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles

·  Capacity to oversee the management of a number of training projects and programs simultaneously

·  Ability to deliver required training to a diverse audience

·  Ability to promote and implement new training initiatives

·  Proven ability to self motivate, manager work priorities, meet deadlines efficiently and exceed KPIs

·  Ability to work in a team environment

·  Knowledge of DET and various STA guidelines, particulalry in the AASN environment

·  Sound communication and interpersonal skills

·  Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop high quality training materials in line with training needs..

·  Ability to demonstrate professional initiatives and represent MEGT in a confident and diplomatic manner

·  Capability to build solid working relationships with all relevant stakeholders

·  Proven ability to achieve organisational goals

·  Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products (including excel).

Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Lead change management processes through the development and delivery of training material (many of which will be online) and other relevant information

·  Update and develop training materials to reflect changes to the operating environment whilst ensuring that the content meets the requirements for the role being undertaken

·  Identify and coordinate ANP training and development in conjunction with MEGT People & Safety

·  Develop and maintain training material on an ongoing basis

·  Manage the Learning Management System administration of the on-line training for the ANP

·  Prioritise training activities/tools in line with business needs

·  Deliver training as required

·  Provide training and development component of the ANP on boarding process, Work with stakeholder to undertake effective staff support and supervision

·  Create training resources for use by staff

·  Supervise and provide training guidance to ANP staff

·  Review all existing materials and recommend changes as required

·  Evaluate and create evidence for future training needs.

Key Performance Indicators:

·  All CSO field staff and Customer Service Managers receive training related to successfully completing Telephone Progress Contacts

·  Your Role Your Responsibility document is updated to reflect AASN environment and delivered to staff

·  Ensure online training materials currently being developed are completed in set time frames

·  Identification and docoumentation of training needs within the ANP

·  Development of online training and support materials to train staff (particularly new staff) under the AASN contractual requirements

·  Ensure that training is delivered as required.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities:

All staff are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of other personnel who may be affected by their conduct.

Police Check:

All ANP staff are required to undertake a National Police Check prior to commencing employment. A State/Territory Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check may also be required by any applicable State/Territory legislation. A clearance to work with children in connection with the delivery of Network Support Services is mandatory. The National Police Check must be renewed every two years as a minimum.
