Options
- Review scope for expansion and prioritise schools within the target areas – Options have been discussed with all schools during the scoping phase and there are opportunities with both the selective and non-selective sectors.

Options
- Alteration to catchment areas to prioritise Trafford residents - In the majority of schools this is already in place and the informal discussions with schools identified the opportunity to strengthen these arrangements in a couple of schools.

- Increased consistency of entrance tests for Grammar schools - this has been a major issue for parents and has been explored previously without resolution. Any decision in relation to this option would be for each individual governing body.

- Review of named partner or feeder schools in admissions arrangements to avoid duplication and prioritise Trafford residents as far as possible

- Amalgamation or merger of schools to ensure long term sustainability

- Establishment of formal partnership arrangements or federation - There are several
different approaches that could be considered.

- Closure of one or more schools if they are to become unviable. This would need to be clearly evidenced and consulted upon and is considered a last resort if no other option is feasible.

- Schools with high surplus places to consider future viability of provision
