Helping Hands / “Henderson Stake Helping Hands Day”. Meeting at Ranui Primary this Saturday 28th February 8.45 -12.00pm. Open to anyone to join in and help. Just turn up.

Ranui resident / “Neighbours Day”. Neighbours Day 2015 is over the weekend of 28-29th March. Information is available on line and everyone is encouraged to have a look and start thinking about what they can do to engage and celebrate.

Ranui Library / Farewell for Kate (library manager’) who is leaving in 2 weeks time. Morning tea farewell at the Community House between 10-11pm on Friday 6th March. Bring- a- plate. All welcome
Shape NZ long term plan ‘proposed changes to the Ranui Library opening hours’ from the current Monday –Friday 9-5.30pm to Monday-Friday 10-6pm and opening on Sundays. Submissions can be made on line and everyone is strongly encouraged to have a say.
Pasifika at the Library – Library open to ideas from community, can get dates and information from Debra.

CareRanui / Paid tribute to Verle and thanked her for her service and commitment to Ranui.
Ranui Baptist Care Budget Service’ has received funding for a pilot project for 1 year delivered at both Birdwood School and Ranui Primary. The service will be on Wednesday 9-1pm at Ranui Primary and Thursday 1-4pm at Birdwood School. You need to contact Graeme for referral sheets. There will also be budgeting service at the Ranui Community house Fridays 9-12pm
The Ranui Baptist church budget service continues to be available Mon-Fri 9-4.30pm

NPT / Introduced herself and her team and spoke to the Neighbourhood Policing Team role in Ranui
Louise Guy from Monte Cecilia / Reminded everyone to make a submission on the Auckland 10 year plan.

Globug / Introduced herself and spoke briefly about their organisation – offering 4-4.5% lower power prices than the average – pre paid power
Tim Tipene
Warriors Kidz / Tim Tipene spoke to his Warriors Kidz programme which is held locally. Warrior Kidz teaches anger management using non violent skills and caters for children 5-12 years.

Tag Out Trust / Spoke to youth programme. Now taking referrals.
Stephanie Tawha
Principal Ranui Primary School / Spoke to the upcoming fencing of their school. With the school often used as a public thoroughfare the safety of the 450 children who attend daily is paramount. The school is still available for public hire for community events, 21st etc, just need to contact the school.
