1  Test Procedures

1.1  General Instructions

Markers, comments, initials and signature must be performed with indelible ink.

The initials of the person who conducts the test and the associated date will indicate the completion of the test. Any person performing IQ test cases must record all deviations from the expected results that occur while conducting the test. Initials are to be used for each completed step in the script, as long as the person’s complete name and signature is provided in the signature log.

When screen prints or reports are generated to support the test effort, these must be clearly labeled with references to the test step to which they are associated. If the test script instructions indicate that documented evidence (screen printout, hard-copy or listing) is required, the Test Procedure column will indicate (with a 3 symbol) that the evidence is required. The evidence must be labeled with the test script ID, step number it refers to, and each page numbered (as page X of Y, where X is the page number and Y is the total number of pages). The first and last pages must be initialed and dated. The evidence will be attached to the completed test script after the last page, in step order (if there is more than one).

If an exception (error) in the test script or software defect is found, a Deviation Report will be completed and the deviation added to the log. The Deviation Report number must be noted in the Actual Results column.

The same person cannot execute the test cases and review the obtained results.

The reviewer of the completed test case will: ensure that all steps in the test case have been executed, ensure that all executed steps are initialed and dated, check that all referenced deviation records are available, check that there are at least as many deviation records as there are deviation reports, and check that all required evidence has been documented and is attached. The reviewer will circle the appropriate answer to the question, “Has the Test Objective been met and ALL test steps Passed and any unexpected results resolved?” and add their initials and date to the right, and sign and date the Reviewed By field.

1.2  Prerequisites

The build date listing for the contents of the release must be available. This test should be performed only after the successful execution of IQ-01 TrackWise Installation DVD Verification.
