RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING
TUESDAY JANUARY 2ND 2018
Oath of Office will be administered by the Honorable District Judge Gene Ricciardi to Commissioner’s elect Anthony Mollica, Vince DePascale, John Sinicrope and Tax Collector Melvin Weinstein. The sworn- in officials shall take their respective seats.
1. President Mollica of the 2017 Board opens meeting and immediately turns Chair over to the Manager.
2.Manager accepts Chair and declares the Board of 2017 dissolved.
3.Manager asks for a motion to elect a President of the Board.

Motion to appoint Melvin Weinstein as Township Treasurer
Motion to appoint Jordan Tax Service, Inc. as Kennedy Township Deputy Tax Collector.
Motion to appoint Kathleen Myers as Township Secretary.
Motion to appoint Joseph Kulik as Township Solicitor.
Motion to appoint Gerald Orsini as Township Manager.
Motion to appoint Remington and Vernick as Township Engineers.
Motion that all full-time employees be retained in their respective capacities at salaries in accordance with contract agreements for the year 2018.
Motion that all present part-time employees be retained in their respective capacities, at salaries specified in the 2018 budget.
Motion that First National Bank be designated as the official depository for the Township of Kennedy; that the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary be authorized to sign all checks as required, for the Township of Kennedy.

Motion that the Gazette 2.0 be designated as the official newspaper for the Township of Kennedy and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the back-up.
Motion to authorize the President of the Board to appoint the following committees at a later date:
Public Safety Finance Public Works Parks & Recreation Building & Utilities
Motion to appointment Donald Petrella to the Vacancy Board.
This concludes the Reorganization portion of the meeting and opens the Business agenda for January 2018.
CAUCUS
- Approve the Special Business meeting minutes of December 29th, 2017.
- Approve the List of Bills for the month of January 2018 and any and all bills forthcoming during January 2018.
- Approve Resolution No. 01-2018 establishing the Police Pension payroll contributions by individual officers at 6% effective January 1, 2018.
- Approve Resolution No. 02-2018 increasing the sewer user rate from $8.50 to $9.10 per thousand gallons to cover the ALCOSAN user rate increase imposed on the Township.
Having no comments regarding the Caucus Agenda, the President calls to commence the Business portion of the meeting.
