PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
STEricsson 2008 – present
Director GPS RF engineering, Irvine, CA(01/08– present)
Glonav is acquired by NXP semiconductor, top 10 semiconductor company in the world, for $105M cash. NXP then becomes STEricsson. Responsible for RF/MS team that develops next gen GPS/GNS RF solutions in CMOS 45nm in complex SOC environment, achieving coexistance and cohabitation with multiple wireless standards.
GLONAV, INC. 2006 – 2008
VP RF engineering, Irvine, CA(6/06 – 01/08)
RFDomus is funded with $16M cash infusion in June06 by Ventur Capital Atlantic Bridge Ventures, changes name and merges with the GPS division of public company CEVA. Developed 90nm GPS SOC lowest power consumption and form factor on the market, first pass success, high volume production part with tier 1 cell phone manufacturer.
RFDOMUS, INC. 2002 – 2006
VP engineering, Co-founder, Irvine, CA(10/02 – present)
Co-founded RFDomus – a fabless semiconductor company developing ultra low power RF ICs - with recognized semicondor business executive. Formulated the company’s R&D plan and lead its implementation. Found and executed on a $0.7M consulting/IP licencing business to financially bootstrap the company, built a team of 4 top notch engineers and several industrial and academic consultants, developed patentable RF technology, high performance low power PLL IP, and industry’s lowest power GPS radio in SiGe 0.18um.
VALENCE SEMICONDUCTOR 2000 – 2002
Senior Staff Engineer, Irvine, CA (10/00 – 10/02)
Supervised a team of several junior engineers in the development of three major wireless RFCMOS projects, with major focus on frequency synthesizer, transmitter paths and system specification definition. Projects included GPS receiver, 0.35um, 0.18um CMOS ,WLAN 802.11 Tranceiver in 0.18um CMOS, FRS Transceiver in 0.35um CMOS.
CONEXANT SYSTEMS, INC., (Formerly Rockwell International) 1996 –2000
Staff Engineer, Wireless Division (now Skyworks Inc), Newport Beach, CA(8/96 – 10/02)
As fresh matster student, was given right away production level work in CMOS PLL area, with increasing technical responsibility. Responsible from concept to production in multiple PLL designs, both in CMOS and BiCMOS, for major wireless standards. Final position was project lead for complex GSM/GPRS transceiver, involving system specification definition work with system engineers, block specification definition, block design and team leading group of design and layout engineers.
