The Procurement Services Team cordially invites you to interact with the schools, centers, and departments on our campus at our annual Supplier Showcase. This is your opportunity to display and talk about the products and services your business provides to the individuals on campus that you do business with, or are looking to do business with in the future. We are expecting approximately 800 attendees from all areas of the Institute to attend. You are encouraged to bring any marketing materials, display, samples, hand-outs or small giveaways.

We are also pleased announce our first annual Supplier Mixer. This event will be held the evening before our Supplier Show, Wednesday, November 30th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Franklin Plaza in Troy, NY. You will have an opportunity to network with fellow suppliers and key Rensselaer customers. The proceeds to this event will be donated to the American Heart Association (AHA).

The Best Western Plus Franklin Square Inn will be hosting and sponsoring the event with hot hors d'oeuvres and a craft beer tasting. There will also be fun with a Corn Hole Challenge, 50/50 raffle and door prizes! Tickets to the event will be available during the Supplier Show online registration process, and will also be available at the door. The Best Western is located in downtown Troy, with the hotel and ballroom directly across the street from each other. This makes for a convenient place for those traveling to park, stay, attend the Suppler Mixer, and then shuttle to the Supplier Show the next day. Attending the Supplier Mixer is optional and not mandatory to attend the Supplier Show.

The Best Western plus Franklin Square Inn has also arranged a special overnight package that includes a room in their hotel directly across the street from the Supplier Mixer, a hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, parking and round trip shuttle to the Suppler Show on campus.For reservations please call them directly at 518-274-8800 and be sure to mention that you are attending the Rensselaer Supplier Show to obtain the special rate of $125/night.

Additional Details:

Supplier Show Location: Alumni Sports and Recreation Center (The Armory) on 15th Street, Troy NY. Please use 1650 15th Street, Troy, NY 12180 if using GPS. Please see location #37 on the interactive campus map on our website here.

Parking & Transportation: Beginning at 8am, you may enter through the rear entrance of the Armory to unload your show supplies. If you will not be taking the shuttle to be provided by the Best Western, once you have unloaded, you will be directed to park in the lot at the East Campus Athletic Village – ECAV (reference the campus map #89here for ECAV lot location) where we will have a shuttle available to bring you back to the Armory. This shuttle will also be available at the end of the show to take you from the Armory back to the ECAV lot.

Registration for Supplier Mixer and the Supplier Showcase:

A $200 registration fee plus one “door prize” giveaway, with a minimum value of $50 will be required to attend the Supplier Showcase. Door prizes are used to encourage attendees to visit your tables. Door prizes will be raffled off during the show, and your company’s name and what you do will be highlighted during that time. Included with your registration:

  • One 8’ table with 2 chairs (You MUST provide your own table linen)
  • Wi-fi & electricity at your table
  • Free coffee and other light refreshments

Tickets to the Supplier Mixer will be $50 each and can be purchased during registration, or at the door on the night of the event. Again, all proceeds from the Supplier Mixer will be donated to the AHA.
